Agee & Johnson is proud to announce our very own Jay White has been elected Chairman of the Tennessee Auctioneer Commission. The Commission was founded in 1967 and is responsible for licensing auctioneers and firms at all levels. In addition to licensing, the commission is also responsible for enacting rules of or professional conduct and standards of practice.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The mission of this governing body is \"to protect the public health, safety and welfare through regulation of affiliate auctioneers, principal auctioneers and public automobile auctions.\" Jay has proven he is an advocate of the public\u2019s well-being in his many years of fast-talking.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Jay became a licensed auctioneer in 1986 before he was 20 years old and hasn\u2019t stopped since. He is now the broker \/ owner of Agee & Johnson Realty & Auction where he has spent his entire 39-year career. He presides over more than 60 auctions per year including many charity benefits. On most Saturdays, and even some weekdays, Jay can be found lending his quick-talking skills to the latest auction on the books.<\/p>\n
